How often should I change my Kenmore vacuum cleaner filters?
To maintain peak filter performance in your canister or upright vacuum cleaner, replace non-HEPA filters such as motor filters every 3 to 6 months and replace HEPA filters every 6 to 12 months. Obviously, if you do more cleaning, you need to replace your filters more often.
What happens if I don't change the filters?
Your vacuum cleaner will lose suction power and eventually stop picking up dirt when the filters are dirty. Clogged filters also place extra strain on the suction motor that may cause premature motor failure and expensive repairs.
