How often should I change filters in my Miele vacuum cleaner?
To maintain peak filter performance in your canister or upright vacuum cleaner, replace non-HEPA filters such as motor filters every 3 to 6 months using the filter material that comes with a package of bags. Replace HEPA filters every 12 months. Obviously, if you do more cleaning, you need to replace your filters more often.
What happens if I don't change the filters?
Your vacuum cleaner will lose suction power and eventually stop picking up dirt when the filters are dirty. Clogged filters also place extra strain on the suction motor that may cause premature motor failure and expensive repairs.
